Kolkata book fair has been held since 1976 by publisher and bookseller's guide.It is one of the largest book fair in world.The book fair is primarily for the general public rather than wholesale. Many kolkatans consider the book fair an inherent part of kolkata. The book fair offers a typical fairground experience with book flavour and cultural performances. With a total footfall of over 2 million people, it is world's largest book fair by attendance.
I choose the place which is the centre part it has mela ground on side,cricket academy on other and pagoda on other side. Pagoda is seperated out by salt lake from mela ground. I tried to make cafe at centre which can be used by people from all side. The structure is permanent structure even if book fair is not their it can be accessible for other people also it has road on one side where people who are travelling via road can go to cafe.
During rainy season water gets on the land so i made design on stilt and has extended its path till road where water doesnt come so that people can come from down inside the cafe.

Sand to be used will be taken from salt lake so that no material from outside need to take and also if we take material depth will increasw and it will allow less water to come durring rain
